I listened to my husband on a 15 minute conference call with a coworker with a Geordie accent. The only word I understood in the whole conversation was wompus which they used as the made-up name of a car part. The accent was very cool to listen to but it might as well have been another language. I think if I listened over time I could have made out a bit more of it but at that point, I was clueless.
