Yeah, you, me and Matt Damon obviously all agree on this one.
Ridiculous movie anyway - Batman vs Superman. Um...rich guy who likes the gym vs alien with godlike strength who can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes. That's a real tough one... :-/
I'm agreeing with Matt Damon here, cause really?! Just he played a superhero before and that didn't play out so well. I'm not happy with this, but who knows he just might surprise people. (doubt it. haaa)
I kinda feel like, "Wow, they cast a blandly handsome white dude. We are all shocked." Which, it wasn't like I was expecting them to not cast a white dude, but I'd have been interested in someone a little more... creative? Like, I don't think Mark Ruffalo is an obvious casting choice for Bruce Banner, and he is clearly awesome in the role. But Ben Affleck? That is an obvious choice, right there.
Or possibly my Nolan-related bitterness regarding all things Batman is showing through. :P I probably wouldn't watch the Superman+Batman movie in any case.
Oh man, Mysterious Skin was a really great (DARK!) novel turned into a really great (DARK!) movie... two boys suffer shared abuse by their little league coach...one represses everything so much that he's convinced himself he was abducted by aliens, and the other kind of idolizes the abusive coach and ends up selling himself...clearly not for everyone but amazingly well done
Snick! Since we're here and the subject is comics, can you send me the link of the updated representations of female heroes/villains that you posted awhile ago? It was so cool and I wanted to show it to my husband but I've lost it...
Was it this article on heroine costume redesign? I mentioned it in this post about the new all-women X-Men title. And yeah, SO COOL. That article is pretty much the reason I am reading comics now.
