This story was not even remotely the one I set out to tell. I was going to write angsty Robo!Sam wincest and had an outline and was all ready to go…and then realized that there was no way I would be able to finish a rough draft in time. I was seconds away from dropping out completely when loghorea sent me this picture:

…and said “Write 20K words of crack, girl!” If there’s one thing I can do, it’s write ridiculous crack, so I figured I was golden. A week later, Log, fiercelynormal , and I huddled together in the Hilton Garden Inn in Rome and wrote the entire outline on ripped-out notebook paper. When I got back home, I realized I could barely read Log’s tiny handwriting and club sandwiches would now always remind me of gay porn, but at the very least I had a plan. Of course my mindless crack turned into 34K words of angsty schmoopy super-powered quasi-kidfic with Misha Collins as a naked agoraphobic running a vitamin empire out of his bedroom. To all of you out there who have made it this far: I apologize. It’s totally loghorea and fiercelynormal 's fault, I swear.

Oh yeah, and thanks to them. You know, for basically co-writing this whole thing. And forcing me to write even when I really wanted to sit staring at half-naked Jason Momoa gifs and eating Lucky Charms. And all that best-friending and blah-blah-blah.

I want to give the most special thanks to my fantastic artist reliand . There is no one on LJ that could have made this a better first-time experience for me. Not only is she stupidly talented, but she’s also one the sweetest, loveliest, most enthusiastic people I’ve met in fandom.
