I always hate reading stories where there has to be a choice, where one of them has to choose between his family and his love :-( I know it's often like that in real life, but sometimes, I want to read a story where they just stay in this bubble. Where no-one knows except them, everyone who wants to suspects and everyone who doesn't want to bother with that sort of thing can live in happy-denial-land. And still invite them for Christmas. It makes me sad to see and hear and read of people who have to choose between two loves. It's just not right.
Edit: Oh, dear, I forgot to say that I still loved this story in all its sadness!
