Meg really made this episode, tho I do have a soft spot for the brotherly moments at the end too. And for Jensen Ackles' face TM. I lost it at your suggestion that Dean just put the tablet back in the angel-proof box and didn't stop laughing from then on. Thanks :)

OMG. This recap didn't show up in my timeline at all. :( I missed out on the fresh off the presses commenting so in my sulk of sulks:

I'm going to point out that Meg is beloved of Jeremy Carver. Why? Because Sam managed to give her the 'Amelia' story in what five minutes? The rest of us had to sit through HOURS of soft, glowing flashbacks that went nowhere and revealed nothing. Clearly Meg got a break.

Damn, I missed when you posted this! Clearly not spending enough time on LJ :)

As usual, you have expressed most of my feelings re: the episode, including the utter RAEG at Meg's death, not to mention the inexplicably amazing chemistry of the Megstiel (lol!) scenes.

The Meg/Sam scene was an exercise in frustration: she spent how long in his head? She's been on this show longer than anyone, her family and the Winchesters go waaaaaaay back, Sam *finally* gets a big scene with someone who is not Dean or Amelia (is that the first time this season?) and the only thing we get out of it "Sam wants normal?" I WANT MY MONEY BACK, GODDAMNIT.

Rachel and Misha have better chemistry in this scene than ANYONE this season and that (sadly) includes Sam and Dean
I'm gonna ignore that, because it's true.

But, really? The only thing she got was that he “wanted normal”?
Is there *anyone* in the entire verse who doesn't know that already? Half the monsters Dean met in Purgatory must have been telling him to settle down somewhere nice with Sammy.
