Damn, I missed when you posted this! Clearly not spending enough time on LJ :)
As usual, you have expressed most of my feelings re: the episode, including the utter RAEG at Meg's death, not to mention the inexplicably amazing chemistry of the Megstiel (lol!) scenes.
The Meg/Sam scene was an exercise in frustration: she spent how long in his head? She's been on this show longer than anyone, her family and the Winchesters go waaaaaaay back, Sam *finally* gets a big scene with someone who is not Dean or Amelia (is that the first time this season?) and the only thing we get out of it "Sam wants normal?" I WANT MY MONEY BACK, GODDAMNIT.
Yeah, besides my blind rage at Meg dying needlessly (I just cannot deal with that bullshit), the potential of the Meg/Sam convo was completely wasted. I just want to grab Carver by the shirt collars and be like "there is more to Sam Winchester than wanting to be ~normal, you douchenozzle!" It's almost like Sera's Sledgehammer x a zillion with him lol
