I'm every bit as easy as you are. With everything that was wrong about this season, that scene in the church between the brothers made up for it -- every damn bit of it. Add to that the beauty of the angels falling, and yep, I'm sitting there drooling happily and waiting for S9. I'm so relieved you'll be there to recap it and keep me laughing even when I want to throw something :)
Keep doing the recaps pleaspleaseplease. Basically, now, 80% of the reason I still watch the show is to be able to understand your recaps afterward. Yes, I've come to this. One thing I wished you added though: the lack of orangey tint to Jensen Ackles's face. Damn, that was the first time we could see his freckles since what... season 3? I might have drooled over them during the close up with Crowley.
I tried to read this on my phone earlier, but the gif usage made my phone start giving me warnings about data storage limits! :)
I've decided after the end of this season that Supernatural is officially a soap opera, and I should watch it as such. Of course, I usually hate soap operas, but I've invested too much in fandom to give up now!
The ending does open up so many possibilities that I did get excited about it. I like that Cas isn't a special snowflake in falling from heaven, and I really want him to go road tripping with Kevin and the great putting the angels back quest.
Jody isn't dead. I'm planting my stubborn feet down and saying that Crowley didn't kill her because the boys made the deal in time.
(And yes, cupid canon was totally fucked over. She wasn't naked, wasn't invisible, didn't use the 'hug' handshake.)
Jared does fall apart very prettily though.
I do love your recaps as they make me happy - so I'd love to see them next season. Here is hoping that the season opener will be awesome. (Or as close as Carver gets anyway.)
