tebtoscaYou know the most egregious thing about this season so far? Not that it's offensive (it is) or that they turned a BAMF into a hobo (they did), but the fact that it has been boring. And I think this simple graphic post sums up why better than anything I can write, and in a humorous way.

So he was kind of f'ed in the head and a lot of the plastic surgery he forced his lover into was to make him look like Liberace (aka Liberace's dead twin.) It was kind of sad. :(

Date: 2013-11-09 01:37 am (UTC)This is EXACTLY where I was at the beginning of last season. Hated it with a passion and was BORED out of my brain (I even renamed one of the episodes on my hard drive - "Citizen Boring").
As always with this show I feel like I'm waiting for that moment when it all makes sense and I can go…YES! Show is CLEVER - it was all for a great reason!! That didn't happen last season so there's no reason to think it will happen in this one. Though, I'm enjoying the idea of this one much more that last season. Angel possessed Sam does things to me. I can't even explain that.
Also. Sam and Dean and still pretty so there's always that. Hey, I never said I was in it for the intricate character development and meaningful story lines…

I understand in theory why some people love(d) the Zeke thing, but the redundancy of it is what is boring me. It's paint-by-numbers at this point, which makes it comical (see: the tumblr link in this post). But I agree that the boys remain flawless to look at, so there is always that :D
ETA: Oh god, I swear I thought your icon was Bobby kissing SAM for a minute and I was going to be like "and I thought Doodle was subversive" lolol

The thing is… they need to do something NOW with the story line. Next episode. I want Zeke having to resurrect everyone to mean something and then I'll be kinda happy. But I think it won't so..yeah. Perhaps Kevin will need to be brought back from the dead next week. Then maybe even Dean himself. The tumblr link was pretty accurate. If we go by last years set up we won't get the (complete) change of direction until about ep 11.

The Ezekiel possessing Sam storyline (and human!Cas for that matter) is, in theory, interesting. And there's potential there! (and not just comic,look at Cas being a stupid human potential). But in reality, or rather, in the execution, all that potential is wasted. It's like Communism lol.

But seriously, I agree. The problem is that they don't have a capable enough writing staff for the execution. Carver himself is probably their best writer, and he only writes twice a year (and still manages to fall into his own cliches).
