Fic recs!

I'm not much of a genfic reader, but when I do read it, it's usually an exploration of the many wonderful side characters (i.e. the stuff we never get to see on the show). The two fics I'm rec'ing here are very different in tone, but share the trait of making the reader see the characters in a different way. I highly recommend both of them, even if genfic isn't usually your thing!

The Man from Nowhere by costsofregret (PG, 7232 words)
Why I rec: An emotional and profound look at Castiel's time as a human. Fills in the blanks the show didn't.

Lucifer in the Sky with Diamonds by dugindeep (R, 6600 words)
Why I rec: Lucifer goes on trial for his sins and it's a cackling good time that turns surprisingly touching. Bonus Gabriel as the slickest defense attorney this side of Law & Order.
